University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Electrical Engineering (UoL) is cooperating in EU projects in the fields of multimedia and interactive TV since 1996. UoL is an expert in the design and development of collaborative networked applications, such as peer-to-peer networks as well as client-server based applications. During the previous FP5 and FP6 projects (P2People, ShareIt) UoL developed a peer-to-peer platform, which enables ad-hoc creation of cooperative work and entertainment networks. This expertise will be employed in the design and development of the methodologies and tools for live content creation and staging.

Experience
Design and development of iTV applications, peer-to-peer applications, digital rights management solutions, research on content selection and retrieval mechanisms, personalization and recommendation mechanisms. System integration.

Project Role
Leader of the work on personalization and feedback. Responsible for system specification and user models for personalisation. Development of content selection methods and filtering mechanisms and implementation oprototypes. Involved in the design of the methodologies and tools for live content creation and staging, and implementation of tools and interfaces. Contribution to overall system specification and design, training, experiments and evaluation.The main effort will be devoted to the development and implementation of the prototype and evaluation of its functionalities. The motivation of UoL is to extend its personalisation system to the fields of live multimedia content and offer solutions to broadcasters and mobile operators.
