Salzburg Research Forschungsgesellschaft mbH has been active in research and development of digital media authoring, management and presentation systems ever since its foundation in 2000. Salzburg Research co-ordinates and drives several EU IST projects and a national competence centre in the area of digital content engineering (Salzburg NewMediaLab) which aims to develop systematic and quantifiable approaches (concepts, methods, techniques, tools) along the content value chain, i.e., content acquisition, value adding, and distribution and delivery, for media-rich publications.
Experience
Experience in the design and application of software technologies and in the development of software architectures and frameworks for web applications. Experience in the design and development of knowledge-based information and archive systems for rich media content. Experience in the methodology of socio-economic studies and in the production of dissemination material for specific target audiences (DVD, Web, print,etc.)
Project Role
Scientific partner acting in three roles in the LIVE project: responsible for the management and dissemination of project knowledge (including the development of promotional material and procedures for the protection of project knowledge); design and the development of the intelligent media framework (concepts, architecture, integration).
