Up one level“Intelligentes iTV fuer Medien-Großereignisse - Going LIVE”
Im August 2008 wurde während der Olympischen Sommerspiele in Peking unter dem Titel „ORF interaktiv“ ein Feldversuch fuer ein interaktives Fernsehformat durchgefuehrt, bei dem die ZuseherInnen gleichsam zu Co-Regisseuren des Programms wurden. Über einen Feedback-Kanal waren ueber 500 Testhaushalte in Österreich direkt mit dem Regieraum im Sendezentrum des ORF verbunden und bestimmten so die Schwerpunkte der Sportberichterstattung mit: In Form von Abfragen wandten sich die Programmgestalter direkt an ihr Publikum.

The LIVE system will be showcased at this year's Cebit in Hannover. The LIVE demonstration showcases an integrated production workflow with examples of production scenarios and output video content from the success LIVE Olympic 2008 trial.
Digital Interactive Media in Entertainment and Arts
DIMEA 2008 targets to the presentation of societal, business and technological advances and research results in cross-disciplinary areas related with digital interactive media in entertainment, art and creative technologies. Innovations, new research approaches and practices will be presented in focused technical sessions, which will offer a wide coverage of the DIMEA 2008 scientific and technological areas, as well as be exhibited and demonstrated. The DIMEA 2008 Exhibition of Artworks, Games and Demos hosting digital interactive rich-media works in art and entertainment will be collocated and run in parallel with the technical sessions. The exhibition will be open to all interested visitors during September 13-14, 2008.

Der 5. Salzburger Medientag wird sich dem Thema "Erlebnis HDTV?!" widmen. Internationale und nationale Referenten werden u.a. zu Erfahrungen aus der HDTV Produktion während der EURO 2008, zu den Marktmöglichkeiten von HDTV, und zur generellen Frage nach Qualität/Attraktivität von Sendungsinhalten berichten.
